We're committed to helping our communities remain strong and successful.

Not only is it the right thing to do, but our business of taking deposits and making loans places us in a unique position to positively impact our communities at every level. When you bank local and trust us with your savings or checking accounts, we are able to help strengthen the communities we call home.

Supporting Local

For every home mortgage that closes, WCB pledges a $100 donation to a non-profit of the mortgage customer’s choice through our “Mortgage That Gives Back” program. Since 2018, the program has donated over $165,000 to non-profits within the bank's footprint.

Nebraska Mortgage Association Award

WCB's Mortgage Lenders are consistently recognized by the Nebraska Mortgage Association (NMA) as qualifying members of the NMA's Champions Circle. These awards recognize and celebrate the service, dedication and hard work our lending team puts into serving their clients during the home loan process.

Community Shred Days

WCB annually sponsors Community Shred Days in Blair, Tekamah, Fort Calhoun and Missouri Valley. These events provide a safe and secure way to protect personal information by destroying sensitive and unwanted documents.

Blazing Banker

WCB has so much fun supporting our local communities by rolling up our mobile BBQ trailer, “The Blazing Banker”, to various events. Our employees especially love our back-to-school cookouts where WCB is honored to provide lunch to the REMARKABLE school staff in Blair, Fort Calhoun, Tekamah and Missouri Valley.

Highway Cleanup

For nearly 30 years, WCB has been keeping Mile 15 on Hwy 133 clean as part of Nebraska’s Adopt-a-Highway program. We are proud to do our part in keeping Nebraska beautiful!

Supporting Youth

Whether we’re sponsoring a local softball team, donating to an Eagle Scout project, or participating in a coin drive, WCB believes strongly in supporting our local youth. When hosting job shadow events, conducting mock interviews and speaking to local high school classrooms, WCB is able to teach responsible money management and help prepare students for a successful future.
