In conjunction with our “Mortgage That Gives Back” program, WCB donated $20,400 to local non-profits at the end of the year. For every home mortgage that closed in 2022, WCB pledged a $100 donation to a non-profit of the mortgage customer’s choice. As a result of this promotion, the Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF) received a check for $14,500 that was distributed among 57 Washington County non-profits. In addition to the WCCF donation, WCB also donated to 12 Burt County non-profits and 14 Harrison County non-profits. Since its inception, the program has donated over $135,000 to non-profits within WCB's footprint.

Community Shred Days
Washington County Bank held their 14th Annual Community Shred Days in Blair, Tekamah and Fort Calhoun. A total of 20,000 pounds of paper was shredded this year, proving this to be a VERY popular event in the communities we serve.
Blazing Banker
WCB has so much fun supporting our local communities by rolling up our mobile BBQ trailer, “The Blazing Banker”, to various events. Our employees especially love our back-to-school cookouts where WCB is honored to provide lunch to the REMARKABLE staff of our local public schools.
Highway Cleanup
For nearly 30 years, Washington County Bank has been keeping Mile 15 on Hwy 133 clean as part of the Adopt-a-Highway program. Rain or shine, we are proud to do our part in keeping Nebraska beautiful!
Supporting Youth
Whether we’re sponsoring a local softball team, donating to an Eagle Scout project, or participating in a coin drive, WCB believes strongly in supporting our local youth. When hosting job shadow events, conducting mock interviews and speaking to local high school classrooms, WCB is able to teach responsible money management and help prepare students for a successful future.
